Insanity = lack of posting

You’ve probably given up hope on this blog by now, and that’s cool. I’m not the kind of person who can really take on superfluous writing when I’m working. I just really wanted to do this one a day blogging properly.

Oh well, I’m not too far gone that I’ll never catch up. If I do 1-3 posts a day for the next month I’ll likely catch up soon enough. Here’s an overview of what’s gone on in my life since I stopped posting:

Reviewed a few games for EGM. You can find my reviews in many issues of EGMi at DC Universe Online and Tactics Ogre kicked my ass for many-an-hour, making it almost impossible to think of anything else.

In February I went to Irvine, CA for a Square Enix press event. There I played Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Dungeon Siege 3. I also got to tour Obsidian’s swank office. My coverage of that will almost certainly go up next week. I’ve fallen behind on that because of a major Ad PR project for school.

Ah, yes, school. I’m still doing that and it is as stressful as ever. The only problem with people thinking you’re good at something is that they push you to your limit with responsibility. This is happening in my department as everyone urges me to take a solid block of journalism hours next semester. I’ll graduate faster but it’s a lot of time and dedication. I’m not sure I’m ready for that.

Other things:

Bought a new TV. We moved from 26 inches up to 46. The difference is unbelievable.

Want an iPad 2. I am a shameless iPad lover but that’s the only Apple product I see myself flipping out over.

The 3DS is nearly here and I can’t have an iPad 2 until I’ve bought the 3DS.

I’ll be reviewing Dragon Quest 6, Pokemon Black & White, and Ys Book I&II (Falcom PSP port) relatively soon, starting with Dragon Quest. I’m an RPG machine, I tell you. Those reviews will be up on

Found an amazing wine called Mad Housewife. It’s inexpensive, but you wouldn’t know that by drinking it. I recommend the White Zinfandel if you ever happen across a bottle. You can order it online as well.

My focus for the coming months:

Churning out better content. I’ve let my hectic schedule get the better of me and all my work is suffering. I don’t like disappointing anyone who entrusts me with responsibility,so I’m taking the rest of this week to restructure how I work.

Now, I’m to throw a few more pieces up then dig into Rift. I have started reviewing MMOs as well. God help me.
